It is time to look at the Wesoomi Publishing website. This
can be taken as an overview of the website and the associated procedures. There
will be more specific procedure pages in a folder on my desk marked procedures.
These were originally written for the earthlink hosting service. I am gradually
updating them as I have time. If I do not finish the specific procedures, this
overview will be the best guide.
There are three internet accounts associated with Wesoomi
Publishing. These are the web hosting account with Aplus.net, the dialup
account with Aplus and an alternate dialup account with toast.net. Here are the
pertinent details for those accounts.

The control panel gives control over some of the functions
of the website and provides for email setup.
WS_ftp Pro is the tool used to update the website. This is
done every Monday morning. Currently, The Weekly Notes, The Gaffer’s
Variety, William’s Corner, and Louie’s Thought for the Week are
updated weekly. In addition, the Homepage Quote must be updated.

To use WS_ftp Pro you must log on to the net and launch it
from the desktop. After launch, if the Session properties are not showing,
click on connect.
If it is showing, make sure the Aplus profile is selected
and click on OK.
The program will connect to the website.
WS_ftp Pro has two windows or panes. The left one shows the
hard drive version of the website. The right pane shows the Aplus online
version. This is what visitors will see when they log on.
To upload the data, simple select the files in the left
pane. Select the matching folder under ???????? in the right pane and click on
the right arrow between the panes. It is important to make sure the correct
folder is selected in the right pane, because the selected folder is where the
program will place the file. Yu can check the upload by launching internet
explorer and clicking on the link in favorites, all common stuff. Further
details on uploading file are in the procedures folder.

I am currently using Outlook Express for sending email and
Poco for receiving email.
Neither of these programs really works and they must be
replaced with a functional email client.
