Baked Pork Chops:

The best way to have tender, tasty pork chops.
What you need. What you do.
  Preheat oven to 350 deg.
1 cup good white or rose wine. 1/2 tsp. dried rosemary. 1/2 tsp. dried thyme. 1/2 tsp dried sage. Mix herbs with wine and set aside to steep.
Turn on broiler.
4 center cut pork chops. Corn oil. Salt. Ground black pepper. Put a thin coat of oil in the bottom of a baking dish. Arrange chops in dish. Salt and pepper to taste.
Broil chops for 8 minutes. Turn chops. Add salt and pepper. Broil for 7 minutes.
Pour wine mixture over chops. Cover dish with foil and bake at 350 deg. for about 1 & 1/2 hours.

Re-baked potatoes are a great complement for these chops. Here is an easy method.

Bake 4 good baking potatoes. Skin them. Put them in a bowl with bacon bits, salt, black ground pepper, and minced onion to taste. Mash them until smooth. Shape in a baking dish or bowl. Cover with shredded sharp cheddar. Bake at 350 deg. until potatoes are hot and cheese is melted.
