Fried Rice:

Here is a simple dish which goes well with just about any stir
fry. |

What you need. |
What you do. |

1 cup brown rice. 2 cups chicken stock. 1/4 tsp. salt. 1/4 tsp.
peanut oil. |
Cook rice in stock with oil and salt until done (about 1 hour).
Keep warm. |

Chop 1 cup of fresh pork (roast, chops, or steak). In a small
bowl, beat 2 eggs. |
In a 12 inch skillet, saute pork in oil until done. Add eggs
and stir briskly. |

1 cup fresh shrimp, chopped. 1/4 cup bamboo shoots. 1 cup chopped
green onions (green and white). 1 cup chopped celery. 1/4 cup
sliced or chopped water chestnuts. |
Add all vegetables and shrimp. Saute for 5 minutes. |

2 tbsp soy sauce. |
Add cooked rice and soy sauce. Stir and heat until rice is hot. |
|
Keep warm. Serve within 1 hour. |
