Whether we call it stuffed cabbage or use the Polish name, it's
still good eating. |

2 lbs. ground round. Mince 1 cup cooking onion. 2/3 cup white
long grain rice. 2 tsp. salt. 1/2 tsp. pepper. 1 10 oz. can tomato
soup. |
Mix ground round, onion, rice, salt, pepper and 1/2 of the tomato
soup in a large bowl. |

2 qts. water. 1 head green cabbage. |
Bring water to boil in 4 qt sauce pan. dip cabbage in boiling
water to loosen leaves. Peal off 2 dozen whole leaves. Boil leaves
until they will bend without breaking. |

In each leaf, wrap 2/3 to 1 cup of meat mix depending on leaf
size. Close each by inserting 2 toothpicks. Place in a deep covered
skillet or a dutch oven. |

8 oz can tomato sauce. 1/4 cup water. |
Pour remaining soup and tomato sauce over all. Add water and
simmer on stove top for 90 min covered. Add water if needed. |

Serve hot with mashed potatoes. The sauce is delicious spooned
over mashed potatoes. |
