Ham and Lima Bake:

1lb. large dry lima beans. 4 cups cold water. |
In a 2 qt. pot, cook beans in water on medium heat until almost
tender. |

1 cup chopped onion. 3 tsp. salt. |
Add salt and onion to bean pot and cook 1/2 hour. |

Preheat oven to 350 deg. |

! cup canned tomatoes. 1 tbsp. brown sugar. 1/2 tsp. ground black
pepper. 1 tsp. basil. 1/2 tsp. thyme. 1/2 tsp. celery seed. 1/4
tsp. minced garlic. |
Add tomatoes, brown sugar, pepper basil, thyme, celery seed,
and garlic. Mix thoroughly. |

3 cups cooked diced ham. 1 cup chopped celery. 1 cup thin sliced
carrots. |
In a baking casserole, mix ham celery and carrot. Pour bean mix
over the top and mix. Cover and bake at 350 deg. for 1 &
1/2 hour. (Until liquid is absorbed.) |
