Pasta and Burger with Cheese::

Here is a quick and easy hot meal for those chilly days when you are in a rush.
What you need. What you do.
1 & 1/2 cups elbow pasta. 1 tsp. salt. Water. In a suitable sauce pan, cook pasta in water with salt until al dente. Drain and hold.
1 cup chopped onion. 1 tbsp. butter. In a 12 inch skillet, fry onion in butter until tender.
1 lb. ground round. 1 tsp. salt. 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper. Add the ground round, salt, and pepper. cook and stir until browned.
1 qt. tomatoes. 1 bay leaf. 1 tsp. fines herbes. Add tomatoes, pasta, bay leaf, and fines herbes. Cover and continue to cook for 15 min
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese. 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle on cheese. Cover and heat until cheese is melted.
Serve this with hard crusted bread and a good dry red wine. It's a meal.
