Sirloin Tips in Gravy:

This is a delicious dinner treat for your family.
You can half or double this recipe to suit your group size.
What you need. What you do.
1 lb. beef sirloin cut into bite size pieces. 1/2 cup flour. 1/2 tsp. salt. !/4 tsp. ground black pepper. Mix flour, salt and pepper on a plate. Dredge the meat in the flour mix.
1 tbsp. corn oil. In a large skillet on high heat, sear the meat in the oil until browned.
2 cups beef stock. 1 cup thin sliced cooking onion. 1 bay leaf. 1/2 tsp. thyme. Add stock, onion, bay leaf, and thyme. Simmer until meat is very tender.
1/2 cup dry red wine. 1 cup sliced mushrooms. 1/4 cup sour cream. Add wine and mushrooms. Stir in sour cream to blend. Simmer for about 1/2 hour to blend the flavors.
1 lb. or more of egg noodles. Water. Salt. Cook the noodles in salted water until tender.
Choice of cooked vegetable. Remove and discard bay leaf, Serve all immediately.
