July 17, 2006:
Annex Mexico:
Recently I advocated annexing Mexico to solve this illegal immigrant
problem. See Weekly Notes June 12, 2006. Now, as I look into
the history of the Mexican American war I realize that would
have been the perfect time to annex Mexico. We already had troops
in Mexico City. The US Marines had raised the American flag there.
Santa Anna had been soundly defeated and his army was completely
demoralized. If we had done it then the United States would have
become much larger and stronger. We could still do it, but it
would take more effort now.
The Quest:
I went on an internal quest. I sought the Holy Grail. After many
misadventures and struggles I finally found the golden plate.
I wanted to return it to the Sanctum in the Citadel, but I could
not. I found on the plate a huge ugly putrid festering turd of
denominational religious divisiveness. I tried to clean it off,
but the stain was to deep. I cast the grail into a deep pit and
came back empty handed. The Grail has been spoiled.
A New Definition:
We have a crime definition for mail fraud. I think we need another
crime definition called internet fraud. It should carry the same
penalties as mail fraud. The mail fraud law, if it was properly
written, would have covered this problem. It does not, so we
need a new law. To enforce a law like this we would have to put
a stop to the official lie. The lie is, people who used the internet
for fraud cannot be traced or found. It's really a lazy lie.
It would take real effort and cooperation to find these crooks,
but it can be done.
Super-Conscious or God?
I recently finished reading another book on spirituality.
It's "An Introduction to Zen Buddhism" by D. T. Suzuki
from Grove Press.
In the foreword by C. G. Jung, on page 10, Jung quotes Kaiten
Nukariya on the satori experience. It is nice to see how closely
his description matches my understanding of the nature of the
super-conscious. Here is an excerpt from that quote:
"...It is the divine light, the inner heaven, the key to
all moral treasures, the source of all influence and power, the
seat of kindness, justice, sympathy, impartial love, humanity,
and mercy, the measure of all things..."
I suspect this could also be a description of an evolved God.
You can look up satori for yourself if you care to.
Arthritis Pain:
In a chat with a friend we discussed our mutual adversary, that
mean fellow Arthur Itus. We have noticed something that some
people with that affliction may not realize. It turns out, one
of the most effective ways to control the pain caused by Mr.
Itus is exercise. I don't mean pumping iron or running the marathon
on bum knees. It's simpler than that. My program consists of
ten minutes of bending and stretching, followed by twenty minutes
on an exercycle, followed by 30 minutes of meditation. I do this
at home almost every morning.
My friend's program is a bit different than mine. He does
his exercise with a group at a special place, but the program
is quite similar to what I do at home. Here is the caveat. Getting
started is tough because I wake up in the morning with considerable
joint pain. However, we have both noticed how the pain recedes
as we get into our program. By the time I sit down for my meditation,
my joints feel considerably better. It beats heck out of continuously
taking pain medication. I do not eschew pain medication, but
I take less than I would if I did not exercise.
Our Heritage:
Under the great governor Granholm our state is selling off state
owned lakefront property on lake Michigan. It will go to commercial
developers. Once that property is gone, it can never be recovered.
It will be forever lost to our children and grandchildren. No
matter, all she cares about is looking good on the bottom line.
To make herself look good she is selling off our kids heritage.
With all of her babbling about our kids and education, she has
revealed she does not give a damn about our kids and their future.
She is selfishness personified.
Nuclear Waste:
Russia is our friend. Ho, ho, ho! The new plan is to send our
spent nuclear waste to Russia. They will then hide it somehow.
Sure! How long will they hide it? That crap is dangerous and
will remain so for centuries. Sometime later they could get mad
at us. Then what? Will they grind it up and sprinkle it on us?
Maybe Putin could sell it to Bin Laden. Then he could use it
to poison our municipal water supplies. That stuff is dangerous
enough when we keep control of it. We don't need to give it to
someone who might use it against us.
Iraq:
Finally there seems to be a consensus. One heck of a lot of people
agree that Iraq is in the midst of a civil war. Sh'ites are killing
Sunis and Sunis are killing Shi'its. Even General McCaffrey can
see reality now. The only people who seem to disagree are the
hardline, party line, administration professional liars. They
will never agree because it would make the mad king look bad.
Nevertheless, the king is naked and few people are still fooled
into seeing cloths that don't exist. The king is in the altogether.
The Saudis:
They claimed they have reformed. It's bull. They have provided
most of the fodder for Bin Laden's murder machine. In addition,
it has been show they are still teaching denominational hatred
to their school children. They teach hatred for Christians and
Jews. They rewrote the Koran to make it reflect that hatred.
This will never change. There is thinly disguised support for
terrorism in the Saudi royal family. Let's get clear on this.
The Saudi prince is our enemy! He is much more dangerous to us
than Hussein ever was. Sooner or later, if civilization is to
survive, we will have to take him down. To facilitate that, we
should stop providing him with modern weapons. Eventually, those
weapons will be used against us. I wonder if we will ever learn
to refrain from supplying our enemies with weapons. They are
invariably used against our kids in the field. Doesn't anyone
but me remember when we were supplying Hussein with weapons in
his war with Iran and Russia?
The Pentagon:
They may have finally seen the light. It seems they have issued
a directive for our people to adhere to Article III of the Geneva
Conventions as concerns prisoners of war. A day late and a dollar
short, but better late than never. Why was the directive even
necessary? What has happened to America? Is this the necessary
final result of rabble pandering politics?
