Weekly Notes:

November 13, 2006:

Haggard:

That is a good description of how he looked after being exposed for making nice, nice with a male whore. Ted Haggard is/was the leader of The New Life Church in Colorado Springs. He was also a good pal of King George. Nice! Like many hypocrites of his type, he did not have what it takes to stand up before his sheep and confess. He had one of his lieutenants do that for him. The lieutenant read Haggard’s prepared confession to the true believers.

When the mighty fall, it will not change things in the long haul. The rabble will always find someone else to pretend to be nobler that Christ. The true believes must have a leader and they will flock to whatever pretender beckons them. Jim Bakker, Ted Haggard, what does it matter? Even King George or Tammy would do in a pinch. As George said, “We will win this election because our values don’t change.” Yuck, yuck, yuck! Let us prey!

Cheney:

George Stephanopolous had him on the hot seat. Dick tried to make an analogy between our current situation and the situation we faced in WWII. There are a couple of flaws in that kind of rhetoric. First, in WWII, America had a power dominant leader, not a blowhard. Two, FDR did not invade another sovereign nation for no reason. Three, FDR had sense enough to raise and arm a huge army to deal with our enemies.

Another interesting thing Cheney said is we don’t get to choose the issues we have to deal with. Huh? Does that mean we invaded Iraq by accident? We did not mean to do it. Maybe he is part right. We did not choose 9-11, but we did choose Iraq and we did choose to abandon Afghanistan. Now the Taliban have it again. Did they ever really lose it?

Hussein:

He is sentenced to hang. I don’t think that is a wise verdict. It will cause the Iraq civil war to get more violent and bloody than it already is. Hussein’s loyal followers will not let that pass. As Howard Dean says, this war in Iraq is already creating more terrorists than it is getting rid of.

Infantacide:

The Israel military has shelled the Gaza Strip and murdered a bunch of children. We saw some of the maimed and terrified kids on television. These were the ones who still survived. It was horrible. If I could, I would make every Israel soldier watch that film clip in its entirety. Interestingly enough, the Muslims called for revenge against, not Israel but the United States. Heck, it makes sense to me. It sounds like the functioning of a Muslim mind.

Montana:

How would you like to be Dwayne Winslow? He pushed the wrong button and all of the ballots in that precinct had to be rerun. It took all of the night and much of the next day. Think of this the next time you hear someone advocate a paperless election. At least, Dwayne had the paper trail so he could recover. In a paperless election, that could not have happened. What would they do instead? The people would have to vote again with the knowledge of how the election came out. Even worse, what if people queued up to vote the second time who had not really voted the first time? How would you know? As the Lone Bitwhacker said, “There is nothing like hard copy for security.”

I Believe:

I believe man can evolve. Man can, through effort, become better than he is. We came from the Southern Ape of Africa through several stages to Homo sapiens, but that is but a beginning. I fully believe man has it within him to become godlike in his sensitivity and powers. With effort, we can make our spiritual vector align with and catch up with our technical vector. We can and should marry spirituality to technology. There is no dichotomy in that.

Not In My Backyard:

I wish the Jews and the Muslims, the Irish and the Orangemen, The Bosnians, and al the rest would keep their ancient wars in their own countries. I wish our crumb-ball politicians would stop pandering to and encouraging one or the other of them. I wish American Arabs and American Jews would be Americans first. I wish the Irish would just write music and sing. I wish the Jews would become scientist to help people rather than inventing more ways to kill people. I wish the Muslims would come into the 21st century and open their hearts instead of their blustering mouths. I know it will never happen, but it’s my wish.

LAPD:

Did they do it again? Did they beat up a man they already had down on the ground? It sure looks that way. Will they never learn that someone will always be watching? Probably not! The only charges they could bring against this guy was resisting arrest. Where is the a priori charge? Why were they trying to arrest the guy in the first place? Duh!

From what we have seen of this, all the guy did was run when they tried to beat him up. Then they caught him, beat him up, and charged him with resisting arrest. When will we have a police academy that will not admit people who are not psychologically equipped to be cops? We really need a real police academy with entrance requirements tougher than the West Point requirements.

Tony Snow:

Remember when he replaced the first Bush talking head? It was not that long ago. All the media folks were saying he would be better than the other guy. I don’t see the improvement. Watching and listening to him is a kind of a Déjà Vu.

Treason:

Either the British cops are better than ours at smoking out terrorists or they have more of them. I doubt they have more of them. They must be better at it. The media tells us they have discovered about 1600 of these turds within their society. These are British citizens of Arab descent. If they really are citizens who are advocating or plotting against the Crown, that is treason. The penalty for treason is death. They should be summarily executed.
