Notes 2006 Archives My Dog: She is a very lovable little bitch whom we call Pavlov
even though it’s a she. As a bonus, she hates the raccoons and
groundhogs that used to do a lot of damage to our yard and garden. They stay
out of our yard now. This little lady has only one problem. She is not very
ladylike about her crap. She drops it all over the yard and it has to be
scooped up. In retrospect, I should have called her Cockroaches: I think they will evolve and eventually rule the world if we do not destroy it in spite. They will evolve into what we could have been, had we but tried. Breast Cancer: We have had a 7% drop in this awful affliction in the last year. The why of it is many women have stopped postmenopausal drugs. Think estrogen. Estrogen is used in hormone replacement therapy to treat severe symptoms of menopause and retard osteoporosis. Now, we learn there is a possible serious penalty. Jeffrey Skilling: He got 24 years in the slammer. He is still trying to wiggle out of it, but the court ordered him to report. His appeal will go forward, but it probably won’t get him out of it. I think 24 years is a light sentence. Betrayal of trust on that scale should have got him life. Lard Butts: The latest from Two a Day: Over the last few months, on average, two American
soldiers were killed every day in Blair: He was on the Stephanopoulos hot seat. He completely rejects the baker report. He did the same old song and dance routine that he and Bush have been doing for months. “We must buildup the Iraqi military capability. Failure is unacceptable.” Try to get it Tony. We have already failed! Duh! How can these fools believe we can install a democracy in
a savage culture. The basic morality of Muslims is not peace, love, and
community. It is revenge, murder, ethnic cleansing, greed, pillage, and rape.
There has been no civilization there since the Semites overran Let’s listen to John Adams for goodness sake.
“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is
wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” That is not just The Tree: Some committee big shots in The US Supreme Court has ruled on that. There is no issue. They said a Christmas tree is a cultural symbol, not a religious one. It is clear there are big bunches of people who don’t think very well and don’t have anything useful to do. Atheism, you see, is a religion of ethical, emotional, and spiritual sterility. It is a religion for empty people. I think they ought to go work in a soup kitchen and find their souls. It has been a long time since I believed in all that religious nonsense but I still believe in Christmas. You don’t have to be a Christian to enjoy Christmas. It used to be about religion, but that was long ago. It has not been about religion for many decades. It is about celebrating. If you are spiritual, you can celebrate your spiritual heritage. If you are a hedonist, you can celebrate yourself and your friends. I think it is more about being a caring human than anything else. The Christmas tree is an appropriate symbol for that. So let’s celebrate and quit being petty and silly. The Senator from Senator Gordon Smith, Republicrumb, is the latest one to
turn against Bush and try to cover his butt. He apparently found enlightenment
when he woke up one morning and heard on the news that a dozen of our kids
had been killed that day in the Iraqi target practice. He said the current
Bush policy is criminal. Biden was with him on the Stephanopoulos show. They
seem to agree that we ought to get out of Obama: He may run for president. I hope he does. The political
hacks are saying he has no experience. What they mean is he is not dirty like
they are. There is no evidence that he took bribes. There is no evidence that
he is beholden to anyone. He seems to be clean. If that is what no experience
means, I like people without experience. I have noticed a similar thing in
some of the engineers I have worked with. Inexperienced means they are not in
a box. They have no mindset. They can think about new solutions. Has anyone
but me notice the old political solutions are not working? I think what Proposal 2: That is the
