Back to the Weekly Notes 2008 Archives Al-Qaeda: How handy this
organization has become for politicians and other world-class BS artists.
Anytime something shady happens, they can dodge the heat by claiming Al-Qaeda
did it. McCain was the most recent to cover for Musharraf. He is sure
Al-Qaeda waxed Bhutto. Sure! And the dance of idiots continues. Of Course: McCain is always good
for a laugh. When Charlie Gibson asked what his favorite peeve was, he
replied, “I hate hypocrisy.” Saw what? John, if you hate
hypocrisy so much why did you invent it? Is independent Republicrumb a non
sequitur? Bowls: This is the time of
excitement for bowl games. There are bowl games and activities everywhere.
Even the Victory: The word has been
redefined by Iraqi politics. It no longer means winning. It means not loosing
quite as badly. We have fewer casualties not zero casualties. We have fewer
fatalities, not zero fatalities. There are fewer Iraqis being murdered by the
warring factions. The last body count from the media give our human loss at
3904 American troops killed since we illegally invaded that country. They
don’t even give the Iraqi body count. Some victory! Would you want your
children involved in that victory? The Auto Industry: This last year was the
worst year in automotive history for Toy Cars: There is a local auto
sales outfit that is selling a toy electric car. It has a top speed of 40
mph. How would you like to get on I-75 with that? It has a range of 100
miles, looks like a carnival Dodgem, and it sells for about ten grand.
That’s not the worst part. The worst part is it is made by the same
people who sold us lead laden toys for our kids. It is made in Thank Gord that’s
over. It looks like the Republicrumb winner was Huckabee. The fools who said
Huckabee would lose votes by crossing a picket line rally don’t
understand. Those were not his votes to lose. They are by-and-large knee jerk
Dumbocrats. It might be different if there were writers in the writer’s
union. Thoughtful people know better. If they were writers, they would not
need a union. They are hacks. So Huckabee is the current Republicrumb
frontrunner. That is frightening. The last thing we need is another religious
fundamentalist in the Oval Office. Eight years of Bush was bad enough. At
least he was dumb. Huckabee is not. The Dumbocratic winner
was Obama. Hillary is no longer the anointed one. The party machine is going
to have a tough time ramming her though after this. Let’s face it. She
ran a crappy campaign. She offered herself as the experienced business as usual
candidate. That is not a viable platform after eight years of the Mad King. Spears: Mrs. Gaffer says the
media is always babbling about Britney Spears as though anyone cares. I am
thinking Mrs. Gaffer underestimates the stupidity of the rabble. Many of
these fools like to live vicariously by identifying with these pop star
celebrities. I suppose it’s better than having no life at all. Behavior: The human ability to
rationalize what the ego wants to do is perhaps the biggest obstacle to
ethical behavior. We see it in a hawkish Vice President who wants nothing
more than personal power. We see it in the mother who rationalizes doing in
home education to bolster her own ego. It is indeed easier to see it in
others that to see it in ourselves, significantly easier. Perhaps everyone
should have a person we trust to tell us when we are running our ego and
rationalizing. Is what I am doing ethical or unethical? Back to the Weekly Notes
