Trigonometry is that branch of mathematics that deals with the relationships between the sides and the angles of triangles and the calculations based on them, in particular the trigonometric functions. Trigonometry means literally, the measuring of angles.
We can begin with the trigonometric table. This table shows the values for three of the six trigonometric functions. The other three, the secant, cosecant, and cotangent are implicit in this table. We will see how later. We will keep this table clean, because you will want to refer to it frequently. We can get into the derivations of these tables later.
