May 24, 2004:
Kerry's Letter:
Recently, we got a letter from Kerry. I'm sure all of my neighbors
got the same letter. Most probably threw it in the circular file.
I actually took a look at it in the hope that he had gotten honest.
Silly me! The purpose, of course, was to request financial support
for his campaign. The arguments he presented were pitiful. I
was nothing more than an indictment of the Bush administration
with some lame promises about what he would do differently. There
was nothing at all about the means or the how of his so called
plans.
I don't need his letter for crap's sake. I know what Bush
did. If I want to trash talk George I can do it on my own. I
don't need any help. What I want to hear from Kerry is what is
he planning? I don't want to hear about the short term. I want
to hear about a plan based on long term goals for America. Come
on Kerry. You're almost making me want to vote for Nader.
Wouldn't it be nice if someone ran for president? I'm terrified
of Bush and I despise Kerry. What am I to do? Actually, it's
not Bush I'm terrified of. It's the gang of four, Cheney, Rumsfeld,
Ashcroft, and Rice. A madman is the easiest person in the world
to manipulate.
Iraq:
Until we invaded there were no terrorists in Iraq. We were the
first ones. I cannot see where we have done any good in Iraq
at all. Murders are not good. Torture is not good. We get murdered
Iraqis, murder Americans, and people of other nations Murdered.
I think we should get out and stop sacrificing our kids. That
National Guard woman and her associates should be tried as war
criminals. Anyone involved in that debacle should be tried as
war criminals including the CIA butchers.
Evolution:
Recently I wrote that we have not evolved since Plato. I got
some flack, finger pointing, and arm waving about that. The finger
pointing was not at me, but the trappings of modern civilization.
These were pointed out to me, things like skyscrapers, highways,
autos, and spaceships. I don't know how many times I will have
to deal with these same dull-witted notions about civilization.
Once again then, civilization is not about things, it is about
behavior. We are not civilized. Ancient Athens was more civilized
that America is.
The Disease:
Recently on the tube, the media folks reported on an unusual
disease. I forgot what they called it but the symptoms are uncontrollable
laughter and uncontrollable crying. I thought, wait a minute,
maybe that is not a disease at all. Perhaps these folks are simply
seeing the world the way it really is.
Are you a fool?
Have I ever been drunk? I have indeed, falling-down throwing-up
drunk. Does it feel good? Not at all. Only a fool would do that
more than once. Sticking my head in a toilet is not my idea of
a good time.
Coaches and Originality:
Their ideas and thoughts are always so original. They consistently
come up with new things every time they are interviewed. "We
just have to rebound," or "You can't turn the ball
over and win," or "We just gotta find a way to win,"
or "We gotta generate some offense," or"You gotta
take care of the ball," or "We gotta have good pitching
to win."
How Do You Identify a Catholic?
A true catholic will not have a personal conscience. He will
vote the conscience of his bishop. He will obey without question
or thought.
The Arab/American Broadcasting Whatever:
Where is it based? It is based in Virginia to broadcast into
the Arab world. This is getting more silly by the minute. They
are calling it a free network. They have brought in a bunch of
Arab toadies to front for them and they are pretending they can
fool the Arabs. The Arabs have Al Jazirah for goodness sake.
What a stupid waste. They say it will cost 62 million for the
first year. Sure! I bet it will turn out to be twice that. Even
at 62 mil, who are they going to fool? No one in that world is
going to believe America. Look at our record. We treat Arabs
as enemies. We always have. Everyone knows that.
No President:
The president of the Iraqi governing council was killed recently.
Who will have the courage to take his place? It's like painting
a target on your back. American troops were there, but they did
not protect him. In fact, looking at the situation, It seems
he was set up by America's bureaucrats. They keep his vehicle
standing in line waiting to get into the so called Green Zone.
It was trapped there. Then, the American troops let the car bomb
that took him out drive right through. That's how it looked to
me. Oh well, another day another president. Six weeks and counting.
Does anyone in their right mind believe this nonsense will work?
Groundswell:
An opportunity missed. This election is months away and it has
already become a debacle. The candidates both stink. Instead
of voting for, people are talking about voting against. In this
debacle Groundswell has failed. We were not ready. We were not
organized. We have no action groups. We have no communication.
We are just a bunch of fools sitting in closets shouting at the
world. No wonder nut cases like Clinton, Bush and Kerry become
candidates for power. If we had been ready, we could have taken
almost half of the government back in this one election.
