Gay Folks:
The media just told us there are 300 gay couples who belong to
a Michigan gay club. They tried to make it sound like a profoundly
large number. How silly! That is such a small minority that it
does not really matter what they think or how the behave toward
each other. Why in the world are we making such a big fuss about
it? Why are we giving any time at all to this while the Mongol
hordes are beating at our borders? Let's deal with the important
stuff. Democracy itself is in danger from Muslim extremists for
crap's sake. Let's concentrate on that!
Kobe Bryant Etc All:
He is accused of raping a woman. When I was youngster, the name
we had for that kind of woman was not a polite word. There are
one or two in every crowd. They like to bang guys. So what? What
about Bryant? You take a completely unsophisticated person who
is grossly undereducated out of the ghetto. Then give him more
money for one month of doing something totally useless than all
of his ancestors earned in their entire collective lives for
doing useful work. Then you set up standards of behavior that
are totally foreign to his background and expect this guy to
behave by those standards. Our culture is stupid and unethical.
Speakeasy Greaseburgers:
I can see the future. We will drive MacDonald and others out
of business with this fat kids syndrome. We will force them to
change their product line so no one will buy their stuff. Then
it will be just like prohibition. There will greaseburger and
greasefries speakeasies. People will sidle up to a door and knock
the secret code. A small panel will open in the door. The password
will be "MacDonald" or Wendys." They will be let
into a dimly lit room with small tables where they can buy greaseburgers,
greasefries, shakes, and everything else that is fattening and
"oh so good!"
Revenge:
They are trying to kill Nichols. They have spent millions to
make the case. They call it justice. It has nothing to do with
justice. It has to do with revenge. What they will find is, revenge
is not sweet. It will leave them with an empty feeling. There
will be no high for them. Nichols may die, but nothing will change.
The Sky is Falling:
The wolf is at the door. The wolf is at some door somewhere.
We are not sure where. We are not sure when, but we are sure.
There is very positive unsubstantiated intelligence from multiple
sources that indicate we have terrorists somewhere in America,
ready to strike somewhere. Everyone should watch for this threat,
but don't panic. Remember Dr. Seuss? They may be here, they may
be there, they may be almost anywhere.
They said, there has been no surge in intelligence. That's
for sure!
Experts:
On TV they showed us a recent conference of experts who were
discussing the problems of school age girls in our culture. They
panned the room where these alleged epxerts were having their
discussion. What I noticed is, there were no girls in that room.
They were all adults. Typical! That discussion was in fact symptomatic
of the problems that all children face in our culture. They have
no representation anywhere. We don't talk with children, we talk
about them. Shitty!
Gasoline/Energy:
Everyone is looking for answers. No one is looking for solutions.
The solution is, other than oil. Oil is not going to get cheaper
or more plentiful. Quite the opposite. The demand for oil will
continue to increase as China and other third world nations continue
to modernize. They will be grabbing after the same resources
that America has squandered for so many years. The oil will run
out. If we do not find an alternative solution, we will all become
third world countries.
Childish, Simply Childish!
We hear that king George put Saddam Hussein's pistol in his trophy
room. That's where it's at for him. An adolescent game of I won.
It's like a college sophomore displaying the panties from his
first screw on his dorm wall. They papered it over by telling
us other presidents have done the same thing. They also tell
us about a loophole in the law that allows it. So what? Childish,
simply childish!
New and Old:
Entrepreneurs generally create new products and, as a consequence,
new jobs. Old firms do not create new jobs. They take jobs away,
give them back, and move old jobs around. They use jobs as blackmail
to get tax breaks. As soon as they have extorted all they can
they move on and abandon their workers. Why do we suck up to
old firms and make it so difficult for a person with a good idea
to start a business?
