August 8, 2005:

A Really Stupid Error:
This is a correction. I offer no excuses. Yesterday I posted a completely erroneous criticism of Sandra Day O'Connor, the recently retired Supreme Court Justice. I accused her of voting for the bill that suspends property rights for property owners in favor of politicians and their business cronies. I was absolutely wrong. In fact, O'Connor dissented from the majority and wrote a scathing review of the decision. I should have, but did not confirm my information source. There is nothing I can do about that now except offer this correction. (William E. Steinman.)

Do Not Call:
It seems the vaunted list that was supposed to stop telephone soliciting does not work. We noticed that right away when we put our phones on the list. We continued to have swine interrupting our lives. The reason is simple. Our idiot government allowed all kinds of exceptions. Under those rules, a jackass who sold me a trinket or even just offered to sell one to me is exempt even if the alleged transaction took place 30 years ago. It's stupid. It does not work because the government did not want it to work. Those solicitors are the politician's political contributors.

Now they have a new list for people who are bereaved. This is to protect people where a family member has died, but the swine keep calling for the deceased person. It costs a dollar to get on it, but they say it will work. I really doubt it will work. I think I have a solution that could work. It's called the Do Not Call or Get Hit list. It costs 500 bucks to get a phone on the list, but if a solicitor calls that number, a hit man goes out and puts him down. Now all we need is a tough minded entrepreneur to set up the business.

England:
The English are implementing new laws similar to our Patriot Act. It will allow them to deport extremists. A Muslim cleric was silly enough to say that will make the Muslims angry. No kidding. What will they do then, blow up anther subway? Get serious you dumb ass. It's the English citizen who is and of rights ought to be angry. I would go further that Parliament is going. I would take anyone preaching extremism and deport them into the English Channel. If they can swim to France, perhaps they will be fine. If not, tough. Do you suppose the French would welcome them?

John Bolton:
He will go to represent us at the UN in spite of the Senate. George one upped the babbling buffoons. The law is, the president has the power to fill up all vacancies when the Senate is in recess. Kennedy had the nerve to say that the appointment was devious. I suspect Teddy is just angry with George for infringing one of the Kennedy copyrighted mechanisms. Devious, deceitful, dishonest, misleading. At least George has not tried rape yet.

I don't agree with King George very often, but I agree with him on this. I still like Bolton. His opinion of the UN matches mine. It's a room full of rabble with a few thoughtful people. Maybe he will tell them the truth. That would be salutary.

Rafael Palmeiro:
He got caught with drugs in his system. He is denying it. He does not know how the stuff got there. The test must be wrong. Sure! My guess is anyone who would lie about needing an erection drug just to get the drug company's paycheck would lie about anything else too.

Financial Institutions:
I believe they are tacitly colluding with identity thieves, by refusing to help the people who have been had. They could do a lot more to help the victims and they could do a lot to prevent identity theft in the first place. They are in the key position to interrupt the criminal activity. One simple thing they could do is stop making it so easy to get credit cards.

O'Neal:
He got 100 million bucks for five years of stuffing a ball through a hoop. What a wonderful world we live in. It's enough to bring joy to the hearts of the rabble everywhere.

Silly Putty:
Does anyone remember that stuff. I haven't seen any lately. Then it turns up in the space program. It seems they are using it or something much like it to hold the heat shield together. Bizarre! I hope those people in space get down okay. I hope we get some new managers and new engineers on the space program. I wish, I wish, I wish....

Delta Airlines:
It seems they will become the next company to collude with the courts to file for bankruptcy and rape their workers. It's the fashionable thing to do now.

Flint, Michigan:
The schools are having a huge workshop for teachers. They are very open about this and the media is delirious. The goal of the workshop is no less than to teach the teachers how to make sure their kids score high on the MEAP test. It's not about learning, but about passing tests. Teach the kids to pass the tests so as to get the government bribe money! No one is shocked or outraged by this. Everything is just dandy. Bizarre!

Illegal Search:
The State of Michigan has a law which applies only to kids. It allows the cops to force a kid to take a breathalyzer test without a search warrant. That is a clear violation of the fourth amendment. No matter, in thug controlled Michigan, you see, children are not protected by the Bill of Rights. Adults are, but kids are not. So kids can be subject too child abuse in the extreme under the laws that support thug cops.

They had a sheriff on the local news who argued for the abuse. His was the age old position that they do it for the kid's own good. They protect the kids from themselves. That kind of doublethink dishonesty is normal for Michigan officials everywhere. If you are dishonest enough you can rationalize any criminal procedure or law you wish. You could beat a kid up while saying, "I'm doing this for your own good." I have seen it happen. This is much of what my recent book, "Will-Yam in the Land of Giants" is about. Our governor does not care about kids, only about power. It seems no one cares about kids. All the hype to the contrary is just a smoke screen. Kids are seen, by the cops and by the political hacks, as handy victims. That's all! I would like to stop that if I could.
