September 15, 2003:

Hypocrisy Personified:
It seems the federal government prosecutes gambling operations unless they happen to benefit the political swine in state governments. They come down hard on internet gambling, but the power ball lotto is protected. Indian Casinos are also protected. They don't even bother to rationalize it. They just cheat in favor of some and against others. I think gambling operations are all evil and I despise those who do it. I do not discriminate between Indian swine, state government swine, or off shore swine. The biggest swine of all are the federal prosecutors who wink at what their pals do. It don't change much at the federal level.

Eating Crow:
Eating crow is healthy. It helps us to realize that, except in real emergencies, we ought to think before we act. So, whenever we have an opportunity to eat crow, we should do it eagerly as an educational experience. Recently I had that opportunity when I sent of a too hasty e-mail to my ISP. Someone had used their name in an attempt to trick me into giving my credit card information. If I had looked carefully at the fraud message, I would have seen that it was a fraud. It was very transparent when I bother to examine it. I did eat crow and apologize. I am a slow study, but I hope this helps me to think first instead of later next time I want to be angry.

Rabble:
The United states Supreme Court, just like all the rest of our government, is nothing but a nine person gang of rabble. They demonstrated that clearly on the recent political spending case that they are pretending to hear impartially. In the transcript, one of the justices deliberately and continuously interrupted one of the representatives very effectively preventing him from ever making his argument in the allotted time. Rabble, pure rabble! It don't change much at the federal level.

Trash:
The Michigan political hacks are up in arms and threshing about because of trash from Toronto being brought to a landfill in Michigan. What they do not talk about and wink away is the radioactive waste going from the United States into Canada. For the people doing it, it's just business.

The truth is, garbage of all kinds is a huge human problem. Instead of pointing fingers we should try to recognize that and deal with it. Just putting it into someone else's back yard does not answer for the long term. We need a long term way of dealing with our own Kaka. Waste must eventually be treated as a resource. It must be returned to the economy, not buried. Do you think that will happen with our current political crop? It don't change much, does it?

Smuggling:
Here is another interesting thing. No one wants to handle garbage, especially a security guard in a newly pressed uniform. So when the trucks come from Toronto, they get waved through for the most part. If you wanted to get an army and all of their equipment into the US you could bring them in with those trucks. You could bring in almost anything. They are huge. Just put a big box on the truck, then surround it with garbage. Piece of cake.

Payoff Time:
The church is buying off the sex abuse cases in Boston. Hush it up, cover it up, forget it. Christ would be pleased, no doubt.

Frivolous lawsuits:
There are a large number of lawsuits against, Boeing, The New York Port Authority, etc all by the survivors and victims relatives of the tragedy on September 11. It's as though it's got to be someone's fault. Are these people victims or opportunists?

Time To Get a Life:
We noticed that there are some survivors and relatives of victims of the September 11 disaster who are now protesting the construction that is getting under way. We know that may people died unexpectedly and many more suffered severe trauma. The same thing happened to me. I have a large family and we have many deaths, some of them unexpected and tragic. For example, my niece died unexpectedly in an accident. It seemed like a very unfair thing for sure. We had a funeral and expressed our pain. Then we began the healing process. We were not sitting around two years later making a personal career out of mourning her death. Not I and not her parents. We mourned her death and got on with life. This reminds me of the other no-life people who still gather several years later at Detroit Metro Airport where a crash once occurred. If you have a life, you deal with a tragedy and get on with it. If you don't have a life, you ought to get a real one instead of creating one out of tragedy.

MEAP Test Scores:
The Michigan school kids test scores are still not available, five months after the test. There is a lot of finger pointing going on in Lansing. That is not helping the kids or schools. It doesn't seem to matter who the governor is. It don't change much from administration to administration.

Bin Laden:
He's still around. He's still plotting our downfall. His army is intact and growing. Nothing has been done to bring him down. Meanwhile we are hip deep in the Iraq swamp. Nothing much seems to be changing.

Arafat:
The Jews have decided to exile him. I suspect they will have to kill him to do that. He has a lot of support. It could be a blood bath. That will sure help the cause for the roadmap to peace. I think we should call a summit of all nations except Israel and Palestine. Then we should push for an international agreement to stop helping them kill each other. We should not help Israel and we should not help Palestine. Of course, we won't call a summit and the murder will continue. It's been going on for a long time. The tools are more effective, but it don't change much from century to century.

Guantanamo Bay:
We have 660 prisoners there in gross violation of the Geneva convention. They are allowed no attorneys. Rumsfeld says they will remain there until the war of terrorism ends. Of course, that means they will remain there until they die. That is life in prison with no charge and no trial. If you think that is alright because they are Arabs, you are one sick buffoon. Now Rumsfeld will be sending some Iraqi prisoners there too.
