October 11, 2004:
Children:
In education, we do a great job of indoctrinating and conditioning
our kids to be a team player and conform, be part of the herd.
With curricula we simply ignore the essential fact that each
kid is absolutely unique. Curricula are exactly what is wrong
with education.
The ACLU:
We need them, but I wish they would learn to separate the trivial
from the important. They are now threatening to sue the City
of Flint because Flint's mayor, the Don of Williamson, will not
allow employees to read while they are supposed to be working
for the city. Have you ever watched civil servants at work? Why
would they want to protect that kind of behavior. Instead, why
don't they sue governor Granholm for stealing our money? I don't
think they will be able to bluff the Don. He is one tough old
codger.
If the ACLU actually goes through with this nonsense it would
be a perfect place to apply my proposed law. When someone loses
a frivolous suit, they must pay all of the costs including the
costs of the defendant. That would free up a lot of wasted court
time.
The CIA:
Predictably, instead of naming a really good cop to head the
CIA they named and approved another political hack. Why am I
not surprised? One of the smartest cops I have ever seen was
the sheriff who ran the Washington sniper case. I think he could
run the CIA better than it has ever been run.
Class Action:
The government is suing the tobacco industry. Their goal is no
secret. They want to bankrupt the industry. Their rational is
the industry caused a great deal of pain, suffering, and death
by producing tobacco products and they know it would happen.
Okay.
Now, what I want to do is file a class action law suit against
the government for supporting the tobacco industry with subsidies
for tobacco growers. The same rational should apply. The government
also knew the tobacco they were subsidizing was killing people.
They did not care. Two of the people who died because of that
criminal behavior were relatives of mine. I think the feds owe
me a great deal of money for the pain of lost love and family
support that will never be there now. Anyone want to join me
in this suit? The worst thing is, they are still doing it to
the tune of 80 million thiis year.
Computer Games:
The very ill producers of these games have come to a new low.
They are using actual scenes from the war in Iraq in their games.
We saw one of these scum bags on the ABC evening news. He looked
very excited, very proud, and very happy. I noticed in particular
his eyes. He looked insane. I believe he is. He is the personification
of evil. I think he should become a real bad guy in a real life
video game. I'm sure he will vote for King George. Keep the good
times rolling!
My Predictions:
King George will win reelection. Within six months of his victory
he will call for a military draft. Within one year he will invaded
Iran. The rational will be:
Weapons of mass destruction!
Next on his list will be Syria. I will be very surprised if
he does not call for a suspension of free elections before 2008.
I fully expect it. The people may go for it. They would rather
have fascism than instability. Never mind that George is causing
some of that instability.
A Difference:
There is one major difference between Kerry and Bush that has
not come up. Kerry has actually been in war. He has had to kill
people and he must know how awful that is. To look at the body
of a man you have just killed is a unique and horrible experience.
I don't think John will take us into war just for the hell of
it or to fulfill a vendetta. He will need a very convincing reason
to send our kids out to kill other people. And, he will be sure
he is fighting the right enemy. Winston Churchill had a good
approach to initiating war. "Better talk, talk, talk than
fight, fight, fight."
A Nursery Rhyme:
Little Tommy Tucker,
Sang for the suckers,
His papa taught him the knack.
While little Tommy Tucker,
Sang for the suckers,
His papa picked pockets in back.
Vioxx:
That drug almost killed me. I have an atrial fibrillation and
I had a near fatal bout with pneumonia. I am sure both were caused
by Vioxx. Now I am forced to take the dangerous blood thinner
Coumadin for the rest of my life in order to stave off heart
attack and stroke. Merck is finally taking Vioxx off the market.
They have been misleading doctors and the public for several
years. Now that several people are dead, they are finally admitting
the truth. They are trying to put an altruistic face on it by
doing it voluntarily. What they are really doing is damage control.
They will be facing major law suits. I have hear one class action
suit has already begun. I am considering joining it. The money
is not important, but I would like to see these B*****ds brought
to their knees. Here is the final blow. Clinical tests have shown
that this drug is no more effective in controlling arthritis
pain than over the counter stuff.
