Our Heros Are Returning:
Kids that were wounded, maimed, and disabled in George's war
are coming home. They are not being treated like heros. They
cannot get compensation. They cannot get jobs. Many of them are
living in poverty. They cannot get help from our government.
In fact, they have been abandon by their government. This is
the same government that recently passed a 150 Billion dollar
pork bill for cronies of the legislators.
Winter is Near:
So is fear. We can assume heating oil has escalated in price
just as has gasoline. That being the case, we will have a lot
of cold seniors this winter. Some of them are sure to freeze
to death. Single parents with children are also at risk. It's
all well and good to declare Florida a disaster area and pour
money in. I will respectfully submit that the energy crises is
a bigger disaster in the making. We ought to be pouring even
more money into solving that. Not being able to drive may be
an inconvenience. Freezing to death is not just an inconvenience.
We think gasoline costs too much. Believe me, it's going to
go up. It's all a matter of perspective. In Europe, they do not
think $5.00 per gallon is too much to pay for gasoline. It is
possible that other places will pay even more. they will pay
whatever they have to pay just to get the oil.
Ramadan:
It's the ninth month of the Muslim calendar. During this period,
all good Muslims must fast during daylight hours. Some of these
folks were on TV news the other day. They plan to give up smoking,
drinking, and sex during the daylight hours. I suspect there
will be a lot of lights on during the night in the Muslim communities.
Whoopee! I'm thinking of becoming a Muslim. Sleep all day. Whatever
all night.
Ford Stock:
It went into the tank. Now it has gone from the tank into the
cesspool. They say they are coming out with a bunch of new models.
Sure! The only thing that will help Ford now is another Taurus.
They don't need more new face lifts. They need a really new product.
Mrs. gaffer said they did it once before with the mustang. I
pointed out they rewarded the guy who made that happen by firing
him. He was canned because he was smarter than his boss. With
the Ford family, that's the ultimate sin. It's why Moeller was
fired too. The Fords cannot tolerate anyone who is smarter than
they are.
How about a full sized Vehicle that gets 80 MPG and performs
like a VET! I am sure it's possible. The technology exists, but
it will never be implemented by the stodgy Ford engineering and
styling people who now control the company. WAKE UP WILLIE!
Lies!
If a candidate for public office lies, he has failed the integrity
test. You are either honest or you are not. There is not any
tweener ground. Kerry has failed. Bush has failed. I don't know
of anyone in the public arena who has not failed. Thank Gord
it is almost over.
The FDA:
They are now rationalizing importing excess flu vaccine from
Canada. These are the same people who told us we should not get
our drugs from Canada because they might be dangerous. It seems
drugs from Canada are no longer dangerous if the feds can use
them to coverup their bungling.
Research:
Now the neanderthal scum bag right wing religious fascists in
our government are talking about making all stem cell research
illegal. Those swine don't care about human suffering. They don't
care about doing anything decent. They just want to impose their
primitive superstitions on the nation at large. Stem cell research
will be done. It's simply a matter of whether we want to benefit
from it or have it done under the control of a rogue nation.
Do we want our reasonably ethical scientist to control it or
do we want someone like Muammar al-Qaddafi to control it? That's
the only issue.
Michigan:
About Proposal 1. The election is tomorrow. I am writing and
posting this before I know how it will come out. Proposal 1 in
Michigan is an attempt to stop the government from controlling
gambling and putting state controlled gambling establishments
on every corner in Michigan. Our governor, The Princess of Photo-Op,
is against this proposal. She want's money to squander. She does
not care where it comes from or what kind of human misery results
from it. She just wants money to cover her fiscal dishonesty.
To get it, she is happy to pander to human pathology. She even
went into a highschool to drum for her gambling options. That
demonstrates the classic government lack of conscience. I am
sorry to admit I voted for her. Now I despise her.
Kids:
October 1994. A Local news report tells us that our kids are
chronically disengaged from school. They present it as a problem
with the kids. It's the kids fault. They have to be made to understand
they need to be educated for their own good. What a bunch of
crap! I never met a kid who did not want to learn. I have met
a lot of kids who were turned off and tuned out from the idiocy
we call education. There is nothing wrong with these kids that
an intelligently structured educational system would not reverse
in an instant. It's not just about teachers who care. It's about
how the system is structured from top to bottom. Education is
something we do to kids. It should be something that draws out
the kids' natural curiosity and their passion for knowledge.
It should be meaningful to them.
Amish:
They won't talk to outsiders. When the law inadvertently gives
us a glimpse inside we see the most closed minded, mean spirited
people in American history. We find a case where two brothers
raped their sister continuously over a period of years from childhood
on. She got no protection from her parents or from her community.
She finally went to the law for redress. That's what inbreeding
will do for you. We saw the same phenomena in the old European
aristocracy. The regressive genes pile up and complement each
other. Sick is too wimpy a word for these people.
