November 10, 2003:
Rumsfeld:
He was being interviewed on TV. He explained that it was sad,
but unavoidable that our kids got killed. In his mind it's just
the cost of doing business. There were 32 of our kids killed
in various attacks including 2 chopper disaster in Iraq this
week so far and the count may rise. How can that be alright when
they did not need to be there?
There are more than one million tons of munitions laying around
in Iraq. Anyone who wants the stuff can just pick it up. Anyone
who wants to kill our kids can get all of the tools they need.
We don't have enough people there to guard the stuff or dispose
of it. We did not send in enough people because we don't have
enough people. We are still not mobilized. This failure to mobilize
for war is a insane blunder which will eventually lead to our
destruction if we do not rectify it.
An Iraqi judge was murdered. Lots more Iraqis were killed.
The coalition HQ was attach by some kind of rocket or mortar
type weapons. At another location, another of our kids was killed
in some kind of roadside attack. The body count continues to
mount. George is calling up several thousand more troops. How
many kids will we sacrifice while pretending to save Iraq?
It's a Done Deal:
A homosexual is now a Bishop of the Episcopalian church. It will
be interesting to see how this falls out. Perhaps the Lutheran
church should open refuge conversion centers for the straights
who will be abandoning the Episcopalian church. They could call
them the homophobic safe houses. Folks could go in as suspected
loose-living Episcopalians and come out as stern Lutherans.
California:
It seems the fires may be under control though the toll continues
to rise. They say all of the wild fires will be contained. Now
the biggest worry will be mud slides.
The Stone Ten:
For once they got it right. The supreme court refused to hear
the appeal of Crazy Moore to get his ten commandments back on
display in Alabama. The lower court ruling will stand. If he
really wants that thing displayed he should take it to his church
and put it in the entrance. Who knows? The true believers might
come and contribute money to see it.
Michigan Courts:
Some six months ago, a woman field in court for a protection
order against an exboyfriend who was stalking her. The order
was never served. Early this week, he found her driving a school
bus and shot her. Some kids saw it happen. The woman is hospitalized.
She will probably die. The ex was apprehended long after the
fact. So what? Michigan courts, Michigan justice. Things don't
change much from year to year.
Pop Philosophy and Political Debates:
In 25 words or less, explain your understanding of God.
In 25 words or less, state your position on world peace.
In 25 words or less, give us your views on global warming.
In 25 words or less, state your position on abortion.
In 25 words or less, and so on.
Hey, hey, hey, what do we want?
Hey, hey, hey, put in your own words here.
The miracle of modern stupidity.
Free Speech:
Another violation of first amendment civil rights. Now, the media
are not allowed to show the coffins containing our kids coming
home from Iraq. George Bush wants to hide that from us.
Election:
I will vote against George no matter who runs against him, but
that is a tragedy. I should have someone to vote for. I would
dearly love to have someone to vote for.
Granholm:
Michigan's governor had another staged event, this time in Flint.
It was called a town meeting, but the guests, about three dozen,
were carefully screened and the questions were pre-decided. The
questions were about where to make spending cuts. I don't think
Granholm's salary was on the list. The guests got to vote on
each item on the list of questions. They had cute little clickers
to do that. The event was so obviously staged it was silly. For
window dressing, some of the selected people were allowed to
stand up and speak. I was not there, of course, so I don't know
if there was any real give and take. I doubt it.
On the same subject ABC 12 had a forum where people could
render opinions. From that game, 47% of the people favored cutting
spending in Michigan's magnificent state parks. If Granholm pays
attention to that everyone will lose, but mostly our descendants.
I wish I had a lot of money because the sell off may begin. Michigan's
parks might end up in the hands of two bit developers. Republicans,
Democrats, things don't change much.
Hage:
Here is a guy who claims he could have prevented the war in Iraq
if we had listened to him. It seems a bit suspicious. The administration
has denied everything, of course. I'm willing to wait and see.
If there is anything to what Hage says, it will come out. It's
too ripe for the Democrats to ignore. One thing is sure, Bush
really wanted that war. Nothing would have prevented him from
pursuing it.
If we had stayed out of Iraq Hussein would eventually had
died or been betrayed. The regime would have been divided and
civil wars and unrest would have done very well what we did poorly.
Iraq's power would have been broken. We need not have done what
we did. They would have destroyed themselves in time, just as
did the USSR, just as will China.
Zero Tolerance:
ABC news showed us a scene of a swat team beating up on some
kids in a public school. It's called a zero tolerance policy.
The kid's crimes? They failed to respond immediately when ordered
about by the police thugs in a lock down. Do you remember when
a lock down was something done in prisons to violent offenders?
Now they do it to kids for being careless. Zero tolerance is
really about stupid brain-dead cowardly administrators who are
too lazy to do their job. Rather than think they just beat up
on everyone. Some parent should sue that school and those thug
cops.
