November 29, 2004:
Congress:
One of them on the Stephanopolous show said, "If we have
another 9-11, Congress will be to blame." Of course! They
should be blamed. They scuttled the 9-11 commission report bill.
There is something terribly wrong when just two people can deliberately
and with malice thwart the will of the entire country. It was
politics before country as usual. All of them are just a bunch
of swine. It makes me wish there really were a hell!
Diogenes:
This guy was a Greek philosopher. It is said he once wandered
through the streets of Athens with a lantern, searching for an
honest man. I think I understand how he felt! He should be happy
he was never in Washington.
History:
Now the religious fascists are after our national parks. The
want to rewrite history and change the historical exhibits to
agree with their phobic concepts of reality. They want to pretend
gay liberation, war protests, the Selma registration drive, the
freedom march, and many other things never happened. The Wrong
Reverend Lou Sheldon is their spokesman for this. Madman personified!
You people had to know this would happen when you put these people
in power. Did you vote your values? Is this your values? Did
you intend to return to the dark ages? Have fun!
Have You Noticed?
Because of the influence of Madison Avenue, dramatization, fabrication,
and falsehood have become synonyms. They all mean lying.
Farheem Zakaria:
He is one of the panelists on the Stephanopolous show. He seems
to be the only person in America who understands what the Muslim
extremists are doing in Iraq. I don't know if he read Guevara's
book or not, but if not he could have written it. He certainly
understands the rules of engagement for guerilla warfare. No
one else in America seems to.
Traditions:
Let's start a new one. Instead of anticipating, expecting, or
demanding gifts on your birthday, give a gift to someone else.
Buy a coat and give it to a poor person. Make a batch of sandwiches
and spend the day giving them to street people. Don't expect
or ask for thanks. If you are reading this, you already have
enough gratitude and enough to be grateful for. Give, just give!
It's okay to feel good about it, but it's not okay to crow about
it.
Play It Again Sam:
I watch the evening news and it's like hearing the same song
over and over again. A new offensive in Iraq. Sure! More GI's
killed. More Iraqis killed. Beheading, kidnaping, rubble everywhere,
and nothing changes. We are caught in a horrible nightmare that
plays over and over and over again.
CIA:
We can hope the resignations indicate some kind of a cleanup
going on. Some fools are saying we should not mess with them
at this crucial time. Bull, I say! They have done nothing for
us in years. They are just a money sink. They have no useable
information from anywhere in the world. What they reported has
been proven wrong. What good are they if we cannot depend on
them for information? I say, turn it upside down and shake it.
It cannot hurt anything.
Ethics:
If we do not teach our children ethical behavior, Western civilization
is doomed. It may be doomed anyway, but we should try. The rules
are extremely simple. Don't lie, don't cheat, don't steal, and
don't hurt other people. Children can and will understand this.
They will also understand the concepts of enlightened self interest
which stand behind ethics.
This used to be done in a class called homeroom when I went
to school. It was really a class in basic civics. The teachers
were terribly dishonest and manipulative. They had their teachers-pets
who were always elected as class president. These were the little
suck-up turds who never questioned anything and did their best
to please teacher. Even so, it worked. I did learn about ethical
behavior and what it means. Of course, my grounding in that came
from my home. I don't know how it worked for the kids who did
not have that grounding.
Immunity:
In Michigan, DA's have immunity to prosecution and law suits.
So do drug companies and HMO's. All of these bums have a licence
to kill. No one should have immunity. No crooks should be able
to get away with murder and mayhem because of a stupid legislature.
Gary Cass:
This is another name to remember. He is another of the fundamentalist
Christians who supported Bush. You will hear more from him. He
wants to make it against the law to be homosexual. This gets
pretty silly. I suppose we could make dementia against the law
too. Maybe we could eliminate all abnormal emotional conditions
by making them against the law. Maybe the medical researchers
are on the wrong track.
Talking To Myself:
Why don't you stop being rabble? Why don't you step up and try
to become superior? Why don't you try to develop some discipline?
Discipline is not sacrificing or going without. It is about being
in charge of yourself and making decisions as to how and when
you will do things. Discipline has to do with why, not what.
Elections:
After what we did in Afghanistan to get our puppet elected it
just boggles my mind when George has the unmitigated gall to
criticize the election that Russia rigged in the Ukraine.
