December 8, 2003:
Fraud in Testing:
The insurance people who are in charge of testing vehicles for
safety are at it again. They intimidated, pressures, and conned
people to get the auto industry to make vehicles safer for people.
The auto industry did that. They made cars that collapse in a
staged way in a collision to protect the passenger compartments.
That works. Now those turds are faulting the automobile companies
for protecting human lives at the expense of the vehicle. It's
no longer about safety for them. In fact, it never was. It has
always been about money and profit. Your true color is showing
you turds. Your disguise fell off.
About Law:
There was an American lieutenant Colonel who used life threatening
intimidation, a more subtle form of torture, to get information
from an Iraqi prisoner. He may be up for court martial. Some
senators are trying to get him off because he claims his acts
saved some American lives. That is wrong. It does not wash. That
Colonel violated international and American law. Regardless of
the justification, that is wrong. If we let that stand, we are
no different that the people we are fighting. Either we are about
ethics and law or we are about nothing. There can be no compromise
or yeah but! To keep the moral ground we pretend to, we must
be impeccable. Nothing less will do.
Kovorkian:
He is in prison serving 10 to 25 years for premeditated murder.
He made a bid for clemency because he is old and sickly. The
State of Michigan said no. That's good. When he was free, he
would stalk old people who were sick and/or depressed and con
them into letting him off them. I'm getting on in years. There
is no way I want that guy on the loose to stalk me.
A Girl Named Dru:
This happened in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She is missing and
they have arrested a guy named Rodriguez. We don't know if he
is responsible for the disappearance of this woman. However,
he could be. From what they tell us, he is clearly capable of
it. With his record, I must wonder why he was free. They say
they hope to find the girl alive, then ABC showed people searching.
That belied what they said. The searchers were not looking for
a live person. They were looking for a body. One way or another,
we can hope they resolve this. If Rodriguez was involved, perhaps
the people who released him into the community should be charged
and tried as accessories before the fact. He was an incorrigible
repeat offender and he was on the loose. Why?
The Environment:
George is selling us out again. He is making deals in law for
his business cronies. It will allow the big polluters to keep
on dumping toxic chemicals on us from their smokestacks. It's
a complicated hokey setup where, instead of setting limits on
polluters, an enormous national limit on pollution is set. Then
each company gets an allotment of the total. A company that burns
coal and produces mercury toxins by the megaton gets an allotment.
Also, get this, a company that produces no mercury toxins gets
an allotment. Since they produce no toxins, they can sell their
allotment to the smoky monsters. So a place like Copper Harbor
Michigan that never has had a pollution problem, will still not
have one. A place like River Rough Michigan that has an enormous
pollution problem will get no relief at all. The steel mills
will continue to belch poison on them, legally. The law according
to George.
Classic Justice Department:
It seems the fall guy Ashcroft picked for the 9-11 disaster is
too stupid to have understood, let alone planned, the attack
on the World Trade Center. His case is coming unraveled. Remember
the cute little fat guy in the Atlanta bombing case. He acted
like a good citizen and they thanked him by traumatized him and
ruining his life forever. Remember Waco. How about Ruby Ridge.
Things don't change much in the Justice Department. I think under
George it has got a bit more, but not different.
